This page is a draft, not a legal document.
It describes accurately what the site does with your information, so you can read it as a factual summary. The binding wording has not been written or reviewed by a lawyer yet, so nothing here is a legal commitment.
Advertising terms
1. Prepaid Monthly Slot Inventory and Caps
These Advertising Terms govern all bookings of display banners, directory sponsorships, and digital magazine advertisements. Advertising inventory is sold on a prepaid, fixed-term monthly basis. To safeguard reader trust and visual standards, every advertising slot carries a strict, automated cap limiting the maximum number of concurrent advertisers.
2. Mandatory Creative Review and Accessibility Standards
Every advertising creative, accompanying copy, destination link, and mandatory image alt text must be reviewed and approved by Afroconomy staff prior to publication. We reserve the right to reject or remove any creative that is false, misleading, defamatory, offensive, deceptive, or incompatible with our publishing standards. Any modification to an active creative automatically re-queues it for staff review.
3. Performance Reporting and Redirect Tracking
Impressions and click counts are measured directly by our server-side redirect logging architecture. The performance figures recorded within your Studio dashboard represent the definitive, binding commercial record of delivery for the booking period.
4. Strict Editorial Independence and Separation
All sponsored placements and advertisements are explicitly labeled. Purchasing advertising or directory visibility confers no influence over our editorial coverage, news selection, or investigative reporting. Advertisements published within digital magazine editions are not syndicated to our official social media channels as organic editorial content.
5. Payment, Cancellation, and Refund Policy
Ad slots must be paid in full through Stripe before activation. Because ad inventory is finite and reserved exclusively upon booking, payments are non-refundable once the monthly campaign has commenced, unless Afroconomy cancels the placement without cause.
